It’s officially fall – even though the weather hasn’t quite gotten the memo yet.

While Florida may not get the colorful leaves or cool temperatures, there are several events in every corner of the Jacksonville area that celebrate the season all throughout October.

These events are free to attend and great for the entire family to enjoy food, music, crafts, games, and more.


  1. Bartram Academy Family Fall Festival and Vendor Fair

The “Wild West” is this year’s theme for the Bartram Academy Fall Festival. Featuring a petting zoo, pumpkin painting, and an array of vendors, the event will also include a silent charity auction. More information can be found on Bartram Academy’s Facebook page.

  1. City of Atlantic Beach Fall Festival

Celebrate harvest season in true Florida style by kicking it off by the beach! The City of Atlantic Beach Fall Festival features a community fish fry, hayrides, music, and games. Find more information on events held by the City of Atlantic Beach here.

  1. Nocatee Farmers Market and Fall Festival

Festival-goers can create their own life-size scarecrows at the Nocatee Farmers Market and Fall Festival! In addition to fresh produce and other market staples, the event will also feature live music, horse-drawn hayrides, face painting, and a petting zoo.   1. Town of Orange Park Fall Festival

A local tradition, the Town of Orange Park Fall Festival hosts numerous artists and vendors, food trucks, kids’ activities, and live performances. This year, the two-day festival will feature 2015 “America’s Got Talent” semifinalists the Mountain Faith Band, along with other local and regional performers. More information can be found here.

  1. Victory Lutheran Church Fall Festival

This event offers not only traditional fall festival activities such as pumpkin carving and carnival games, but also a kids’ “trunk or treat” for some pre-Halloween goodies. Just minutes from the St. Johns Town Center, Victory Lutheran Church’s Fall Festival is a great choice for some free family fun.
